Michael is originally from Wappingers Falls, NY, about an hour north of NYC in the
Hudson Valley. Michael sought a different career path after graduating with an
Associate of Arts degree in Electric Engineering. He reenrolled at IRSC in 2001 and
earned his Associate of Science degree in Golf Operations and Horticulture Technology.
Michael joins the Club at Boca Pointe, having spent the last 15.5 years as Superintendent
of the Estate Course at PGA National. Prior to PGA National, Michael’s knowledge and
experience developed from the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie (2000-2002) to the
Superintendent at the North Course at BallenIsles (2002-2008).
Michael is engaged to his lovely fiancé, the Honorable Stephanie F. Tew, Palm Beach
County Judge, 15th judicial circuit. They reside in Palm Beach Gardens and enjoy
Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and learning about wine. His parents, Ernest and Marilyn,
live in Port St. Lucie, FL, and will celebrate their 59th anniversary next month (10/24).
Michael is extremely excited to bring his years of experience to the Club at Boca Pointe.
He looks forward to making a positive impact on course conditions.
